gap technical is proud to be representing a leading FMCG/food manufacturing business in its search for Maintenance Engineers to join a modern production facility near Wrexham.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to production.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and implement corrective actions for recurring faults.
- Prioritise maintenance activities within your designated production area.
- Diagnose faults efficiently using technical documentation and machine history.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Support and train operators in basic maintenance tasks and assist with more complex repairs when required.
- Maintain machinery in line with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving reliability.
Candidate Requirements
- Completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship (preferred).
- Multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias.
- Previous experience within food, FMCG, or packaging manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
